DIY Vinyl Wrap Planning and Practice on the Challenger Scat Pack

After weeks of testing samples I’ve finally selected the color for my 2015 Challenger Scat Pack. I feel sampling it on the car is a very important step as most colors have different personalities in various indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. For this test I purchased a 1 foot by 5 foot strip and applied using the same method I planned on using for the final wrap.

2015+ Challenger Rear Fender Paint Protection Kit

I’ve been on the fence with mud flaps for almost 2 years now.  I want the protection and like the look some days while other times I’m not sure.  When Luxe sent me some precision cut Paint Protection Film (PPF) to check out, I think they nailed exactly what I needed!  This is a slightly more advanced install unlike the Luxe tint kits you are used to.  The average person can install it with the supplies provided in the kit.  If you are on the fence with the install I have a full install video coming out next week which includes some good tips because like most of you this was my FIRST TIME installing PPF on a vehicle.

I’ve always wanted to debadge my Scat Pack and put a custom decal in the trunk of my car, but the area would still not be protected from scratches. Also Vinyl Decals tent to catch rags when cleaning an peel up. After a few weeks of trial and error I found the solution to my scratching issue and also installed my custom decal in a way that will protect it maintaining my blacked out look.
