I wanted to upgrade my stereo in my 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel. I have the six-speaker base system with an 8.4 uConnect. My first challenge was disabling the Active Noise Canceling (ANC). I started with a set of Infinity Reference Series speakers. 6×9 3-way speakers in the doors and 3.5” speakers in the dash. This upgrade cost $310.00 since the dash speakers were on sale. The upgrade brought instant satisfaction with deeper bass, crisp, clear highs, and a much louder clean sound.

DSP Amp Upgrade
I chose the AudioControl D-series amplifiers because they had a high-level input, a DSP, and AC is a rock-solid performer in the car audio space. This amplifier cost $770 and was worth every penny easily tripled my volume, with clean highs and deep bass from the upgraded infinity speakers.

Micro Subwoofer
I went with the Infinity Baslink SM2, which added more bass and rounded out the sound, but I’m still not sure it’s going to satisfy my ear. I’ll keep you posted on this one as I work on tuning my system with this micro sub.
